Dillington House, Somerset
Here are some photographs taken at the splendid Dillington House, near Ilminster in Somerset. This is quite possibly one of the most spectacular wedding venues in Somerset, located in the middle of the picturesque Dillington Estate, close to Ilminster.
This house was formerly the Somerset home of George III’s Prime Minister, Lord North; the surrounding countryside setting is truly impressive, the service being described as “first class and the freshly prepared homemade food utterly delicious!”
The House dates back to the 16th century and can also provide accommodation with 40 en-suite bedrooms – 16 of which are fully accessible. In addition to the main House there are wonderful Mews building. The whole site offers open views across the river Isle floodplain.
During the week Dillington House is used for adult education and conferencing and as a wedding venue over the weekends, however it is not open to the general public. Dillington is set in the midst of beautiful Somerset countryside and offers to be an enchanting setting, with all the grandeur of a stately home. This means it will be a perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs giving you wonderful memories for years to come.
There is a dedicated experienced wedding coordinator on hand who can help plan the details of your special day.
Dillington also offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation for up to 73 guests who also benefit from discounted rates, whilst the Bride and Groom get to enjoy the best room for the wedding night, entirely free of charge.
